Never Piece of work
I bought my 3rd Hayward pool vac in 6 years last twelvemonth and its broken again, just ties itself up in its own cord constantly. I've replaced the walkers, the internal parts and a month later its always broken again. Do non purchase this.
Purchased in October 2021 at Pinch a Penny for $400.

died later on 10 yrs
Information technology can be repaired for a few hundred dollars. It would get stuck on frangipani leaves or whatsoever other solid object in the pool. But considering information technology sat in chlorine and UV for 10 yrs with 1 service/parts repair I am pretty happy. But now accept to get something new...and all reviews look bad!

Cleaner not much good and service for repairs even worse.
Cleaner not much practiced every bit information technology wont modify direction. Service for repairs is dreadful. Cleaner sent to Hayward for a quote. Three weeks afterwards and
all the same no quote provided. Very unsatisfactory service.

Great machine does well
Worked perfectly for first four years, just needed new feet and then continue going in circles and non climbing walls of pool any more than, replaced gearbox myself which is quite piece of cake and boom its similar a new one again.

Not even worth one star - stay away from Hayward pool cleaners especially this one
the aforementioned week I had this in my pool it stopped working and for the past three years its shared its useless fourth dimension between not working and when it has, seriously scraped and permanently damaged the pool with its stupid cheap plastic "wings". Refuse to refund my money too. Unlike other cleaners I accept had in the past, this 1 chokes on everything too - a leaf... a snail... you name information technology... unless its microscopic it doesn't want to pick it upwards - doesn't want to work either. Like to simply sit at the bottom of the pool and do cipher. Hayward and their cleaners are utter rubbish. Avert THEM if you want to maintain your sanity and your pool!

My second one in 11 years
On my 2nd Hayward and I have upgraded it with the new flexible turbine. It used to get chock-full on besides much leaf affair during autumn . Since the upgrade this thing has not stopped once. Last 1 lasted 7 years with but pocket-size parts, flaps and shoes replaced several times. Parts can be pricey merely I shop around on eBay so non also bad. Pool is 14m 10 ii.5m lap pool and information technology does a great chore

Great value. Easy & cheap to maintain.
Any of the Hayward range of auto cleaners is good value for coin compared to nigh on the marketplace nether the $k marker. Keep an eye on the regular pod shoes (Part # AXV414P 'for concrete') ... replaceable via Amazon Global @ 1/iii the price of local parts ($x.47 a set), & try to flush the unit out regularly (four screws to take out) removing any build up of foreign thing. Don't forget to aftermath !

Also expensive to maintain
Afterwards owning i of these for two years and lucky I had a spare thrown in for spare parts I would take to say spares are way over priced as is the entire unit and I will never purchase again. Besides many moving parts and all plastic, bearings fall apart and the gearbox was always painful to go on working. My advice! Pass go a Kreepy Crawler type nothing serviceable parts and much cheaper to repair.

Waste of money - Haywards Crap Vac
Feet fell off after 6 weeks of utilize, were told by the service provider that nosotros have been flogging information technology to deaf! He supposedly serviced information technology nether warranty. This is afterward only five months of employ, it is at present 8 months old and is barely working again. Do yourself a favour and steer well articulate of anything with the Hayward brand name on information technology!

Shark vac
Just over 18 months agone I purchased a shark vac. It now requires bearings housing and other repairs at my toll! Had a rep come to expect at it last yr when it broke down, he assured me this has never happened to this make always. Guess what they want me to pay $800 odd to fix. Not likely would I recommend this production nor their non helpful advice

Problems with Ultra Vac
Ultra vac came with the incorrect pads or feet for my tiled pool. With help from a pool pro I purchased ceramic feet and the cleaner at present works as information technology should and even goes up the sides. Make sure you lot have the right feet for your type of pool or else the cleaner won't work. Hayward should stipulate this in the user manual but I couldn't find it. I bought mine online then thus unaware of the problem.

All Haywards Stink! Stay Away!
What fabricated me think that moving up to a Hayward Poolvergnuegen would be any different from the basic model? The fact is that all Haywards get stuck if equally much as a flea's corpse gets stuck in the gears! I can't brainstorm to guess how many hours I've wasted taking them apart to figure out what's wrong. I detest them!

Waste of money
My Hayward cleaner is just on 3 years old and no longer working. Needs all new parts inside, gears, barings, drive shaft, etc. I take just been quoted to fix it $590. I tin buy a new similar machine for $690. Don't waste your money and buy a Hayward cleaner!

Best purchase of Puddle equipment
I take had a Hayward Pool Vac Ultra Xl working in my puddle every 24-hour interval since September 2011 (4 years & 4 Months) with absolutely no problems and no issues. No dissonance & cleans the WHOLE pool. I have non had to service or replace any parts over this time. I highly recommend this machine.

Frustrating and useless.
Tin can't believe I've put upwards with this so-called cleaner for five years. Information technology has had several trips back to the pool shop from which it was bought. Has had new feet and new wings just yet won't climb a gentle slope from the deep stop to the shallow. It potters around the deep end of the pool but will not climb the walls. Bunnings have got a cleaner for a quarter of the price of the Pool Vac. I'm about to get ane and give it a try.
